This program is open to university researchers only, and includes only the equipment that the institution manages and that is intended to serve a large number of users. The program enables purchasing equipment at a maximum cost of 600,000$, the ISF funds up to 50%, i.e. 300,000$ at the most. The institute´s commitment for parallel funding is required, at an amount that is at least the same as the ISF´s.
Due to budget cuts, in the past years only two proposals were approved for submission from each university.
In the 2011 cycle 10 proposals are financed at a total sum of 7,800,000 NIS.
